NEW BRITAIN - Paula (Sangiavanni) DelBarba, 34, of 242 North St., New Britain, died yesterday [3/28/82] at home after a short illness.  She was the wife of Raymond DelBarba and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elio Sangiavanni.

   A native of Meriden, she had lived in New Britain for the past three years.  Mrs. DelBarba was a former employee of Connecticut General Life Insurance Co.

   In addition to her husband, she is survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, all in Meriden.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. a the Zigas Funeral Home, 540 East St., New Britain.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
